The island of Seskarö is located 25 km from Haparanda. The bridge connects the island to the mainland. Seskarö is a summer paradise where the famous beach of Tromsöviken is located. The island also has a dramatic history. In 1917 the locals rose to a rebellion in a hunger strike. Seskarö is also an interesting geological area which has rich flora.
