The hill is located in the village of Korpikylä ca.30 km north from Tornio. From the top, there is a fantastic view overlooking the Tornio river valley.

You drive to the north from Tornio and at Jokivarrentie 3320 take a turn to the right and drive over the railway tracks. Turn to the left and continue 800m to the parking lot. Gps Coordinates: 66.116292 and 23.951713.

The trail is 700m long and well marked. It is in good condition and goes up on the top of Nivavaara mountain. On the top, there is a lean-to (take wood with you) and a sightseeing place. The area is surrounded by a fence.
