Arctic Border Race

Arctic Border Race 19.3.2022 is a unique running competition organized in HaparandaTornio. This kind of a race has never been organized before. Running paths that goes over land, on the frozen river and sea, between two countries and time zones. The race will be held on March 19, 2022 and there are two distances to choose from; 10 km or a half marathon of 21 km, where Tornedalen offers an experience beyond the ordinary. When spring has reached southern Sweden, we still run on the thick ice of the frozen river and sea and enjoy the snow-cover between sea and land.

The competition is suitable for both experienced runners and exercisers who want to walk, run or jog. The race crosses the river, land and sea with the starting point in Tornion möljä and finish line on Sweden’s easternmost point – Cape East.
