Swedish documentary Karl XVI Gustav (Karin af Klintberg, Sweden 2023, 98 min, S/T, Finnish subtitles) is the Nordic film of the month.

For two years, filmmaker Karin af Klintberg was in contact with the court’s information department and her persistence was rewarded with a unique opportunity to follow the life and work of King Karl XVI Gustav.

For the first time, a documentary was filmed about the King during his lifetime. The King’s grandfather Gustav VI Adolf and great-grandfather Gustav V did not give interviews.
