Something mysterious is happening in the sea outside Småköping. Even though the weather is beautiful, large waves are created that wash over the harbor, the pier and the small town. What could be causing such strong waves that boats are washed ashore and pirates end up in a spruce top? Meanwhile, at the Eken preschool, Mini-Hopp starts playing the violin. It’s not going well. It just squeaks. No one thinks it sounds nice. Everyone just laughs. Never has Mini-Hopp felt so alone as when he sadly kicks gravel on his way down to the water and stands on the edge of a cliff to be alone with his violin. But suddenly, as he puts the bow to the strings, the water below the rock starts to bubble and something very big rises from the sea.
