The “Kamoon Kesä” event kicks off the Meri-Lappi festival summer and offers an unforgettable summer opening for families with children and adults alike. The venue will be the Kaakamo Village Hall and the Napakymppi entertainment restaurant, and the performers will shine on the legendary Sakke-Areen. The daytime programme is aimed at children and young people, while the evening programme is K-18.

The idea for the summer party came from a survey organised by the Kaakamo Village Association in connection with the Kaakamo school Christmas party. The survey asked the children of Kaakamo for a common event, top music, activities and tuba players in the village – and that’s where the idea started.

Kaakamo’s summer events already have a long tradition, and “Kamoon Kesä” is organised in memory of the village’s own son, Jari Vesa.
