In the stand-up performance “Medborgare Nûjen” Özz Nûjen asks what citizenship really means in today’s Sweden. What are our rights and what are our duties? And what does it mean to be a citizen in a country where rights are questioned and citizenship is no longer taken for granted?

With a unique combination of infectious humour and sharp political satire, Özz takes a stand on the political situation in the run-up to the upcoming Swedish elections. He investigates whether election promises have been betrayed, examines which politicians have made promises but kept them, and does not hesitate to point out the parties’ betrayal of their own voters. No one is spared his sharp eye – all parliamentary parties can count on Özzi’s whip-smart humour.
